Dresdner Brückenbausymposium 2024
March once again brings top-class specialist conferences at the Faculty of Civil Engineering: the Hydraulic Engineering Colloquium, the Bridge Construction Symposium, the Steel Construction Conference and Glass Construction 2025. These events are an integral part of the scientific exchange and are very popular every year. Registrations are still possible!
March 5, Steel Construction Symposium
This year's Steel Construction Conference will take place on March 5. It will focus on building and bridge construction, the new Eurocodes, steel construction production and historic bridge bearings. Experts will provide insights into developments in European standardization and current challenges. The venue is the Barkhausen Building at TU Dresden. March 6-7, Dresden Hydraulic Engineering Colloquium
From March 6-7, the 47th Dresden Hydraulic Engineering Colloquium will take place at the International Congress Center Dresden. This established conference provides an important forum for representatives from authorities, associations, engineering offices and universities. This year's theme is: "Constructive Hydraulic Engineering - Innovations, Planning, Technologies"
The program focuses on:
- Environmentally compatible and resource-saving construction methods and materials
- Planning tasks for climate adaptation
- Digitalization, BIM and AI applications
- Extreme events and resilience
- Ecological aspects in hydraulic engineering
- International projects
- New standards and regulations

March 19-20, Bridge Construction Symposium and German Bridge Construction Award, as well as Symposium on Experimental Investigations of Building Structures
The Bridge Construction Symposium is the largest annual conference at our faculty and has attracted around 1,500 participants per event in recent years. The 34th edition will take place on March 20 at Messe Dresden. One highlight will be the presentation of the German Bridge Construction Award 2024 on the evening of March 19. March 27-28, Glass Construction 2025
The "conference month" will conclude with Glasbau2025, which will take place from 27 to 28 March in the Auditorium Center of TU Dresden. The accompanying yearbook covers a wide range of topics with the following focal points:
