Congratulations to Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Thoralf Kästner on the successful defense of his doctoral thesis

On May 23, 2022, Dipl.-Ing. Thoralf Kästner successfully defended his doctoral thesis "On the influence of manufacturing parameters on the mechanical properties of welded joints of high-strength steels". The doctoral committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ivo Herle (TU Dresden). Reviewers were Prof. Dr. Richard Stroetmann (TU Dresden), Prof. Dr. Thomas Ummenhofer (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) and Prof. Dr. Markus Feldmann (RWTH Aachen). In addition, Prof. Dr. Stefan Löhnert (TU Dresden) was involved as a further member of the doctoral committee. The Faculty of Civil Engineering extends its sincere congratulations.
