On 21.05.2026, Mr. Dong Zhao, M.Sc. successfully defended his scientific thesis as part of the doctoral procedure with the topic "Modeling of concrete failure by the phase-field approach - from brittle to ductile fracture".
In addition to the chairman of the doctoral committee, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Ivo Herle (TU Dresden), Prof. Dr. Michael Kaliske (TU Dresden), Prof. Dr. Jörg Schröder (University of Duisburg-Essen) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Leong Hien Poh (National University of Singapore) were present as reviewers.
