Apply now: Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) with short stay in Ancona
TU Dresden has launched a new Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP) together with international partner universities. The program involves the Gdańsk University of Technology (Poland), the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (Portugal) and - as the coordinating institution - the Università Politecnica delle Marche in Italy. At the heart of the program is a short stay in the Italian port city of Ancona, supplemented by a virtual learning phase.
The BIP combines online teaching and face-to-face study to create an innovative exchange format. In virtual sessions - for example in the form of lectures, group work or workshops - participants work together before, during or after their stay. The subsequent physical phase comprises a short study visit of around five to 30 days at the host university.
In terms of content, the program offers a platform for interdisciplinary and international exchange on sustainability and resilience of the built environment. Based on fundamental concepts, participants use practical examples to discuss how future engineers need to integrate principles of the circular economy and climate adaptation into their work.
The course teaches key approaches for sustainable and climate-resilient buildings and living spaces. It becomes clear that in future, specialists will increasingly need to have interdisciplinary skills - such as the ability to assess and monitor environmental standards. At the same time, participants learn how climate adaptation measures can be combined with high standards of sustainability, user comfort, resource efficiency, environmental compatibility and circular design.
The program is aimed at students who want to gain international experience and actively work on solutions to the challenges of climate change in the construction industry.
