Students from France welcomed in Dresden for the start of their double degree semester abroad
Due to the pandemic, the campus of the Dresden University of Technology is very empty at the moment. So it is all the more pleasing that our exchange students from France arrived here last week. Since all events for the double degree students had only been held online until then, Professor Haller took the time to show the students around the Dresden campus to meet them in person. Prof. Haller is also the contact person for our students here who are thinking about a longer stay abroad in France during their studies. The Faculty of Civil Engineering at Tu Dresden maintains close relations with ESTP in Paris and INSA Strasbourg for this purpose.
The basic idea of the exchange program is simple: Students complete their studies at a university in their home country and transfer to a partner university abroad in the fifth semester. The study abroad phase lasts three semesters and provides students with technical and language skills as well as a look at the life, culture and history of the host country. After the phase abroad, students transfer back to their home university for the advanced study program. Within this exchange program, Dresden's civil engineers cooperate with INSA Strasbourg, ESTP Paris and the University of Trento in Italy.
