GEO^5+ Doctoral Workshop in Regensburg

This year’s GEO^5+ doctoral workshop took place in Regensburg on July 16–17 and was organized by Prof. Thomas Neidhart and his team at OTH Regensburg.

The workshop offered a varied program featuring interesting presentations from participating institutes from Dresden, Berlin, Weimar, Leipzig, Bochum, Karlsruhe, and Regensburg. Our institute was represented by Metehan Karslioglu, who presented his talk titled “On the Link between the Contact Fabric and the Intergranular Strain Tensor.”

In the evening, a boat cruise on the Danube with a barbecue buffet and cold drinks provided an opportunity for socializing. The evening concluded with a group walk through Regensburg’s historic old town.
