Institute of Geotechnical Engineering at the EXCITE Annual Scientific Meeting & Workshop

From 17-19.03.26, the EXCITE network hosted the Annual Scientific Meeting and Workshop entitled "Particle Science in Geo-Imaging: Insights into the Material World" at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg. Participation was open to everyone, so Selma Schmidt, Research Assistant at the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering, accepted the invitation.

On March 17 and 18, numerous interesting presentations provided insights into various imaging methods for examining materials that originate from the earth. The newly gained knowledge was rounded off with a hands-on workshop on March 19, in which the participants were able to go through the entire process from sample preparation to image analysis.

Selma Schmidt was not only able to gain valuable new insights, but also make new contacts within the EXCITE network. All in all, a successful meeting!
