Prof. Niemunis Visiting the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering

Between August 25 and 30, we were pleased to welcome Prof. Niemunis to our institute. In his presentation, he introduced the HCA model — a high-cycle, explicit model for describing the accumulation of strains under cyclic loading. The presentation was attended not only by researchers but also by professionals from practice.

Following the lecture, the opportunity was taken for intensive scientific exchange between Prof. Niemunis and the institute’s doctoral candidates.
