Ohde-Colloquium
In memory of Prof. Johann Ohde the Federal Waterways Engineering and Research Institute and the Institute of Geotechnical Engineering at the Technische Universität Dresden alternately hold a colloquium devoted to current geotechnical topics from science and practice. At the time of Johann Ohdes the stress distribution in the ground was an intensively discussed topic. With contributions on numerical methods in geotechnical engineering, various experimental techniques, geophysical investigation possibilities, verification methods and questions of construction, an overview is given of issues that are currently being investigated at the two institutions in order to achieve improvements in the practice of geotechnical engineering. This requires constant discussion of all those involved from science and practice, for whom this colloquium offers an excellent platform.
