Building site excursion "Blockhaus-Dresden

On 15.11.2021, a group of students and staff from the Institute of Construction Management visited the construction site of the blockhouse in Dresden. The tour of the construction site was led by representatives of Hentschke Bau GmbH, which is responsible for carrying out the structural work. In addition to the special features of the contractual relationship and the challenges of producing fair-faced concrete with board formwork, the four structural engineering "highlights" of the building project were presented. These include the combination of the listed outer shell with a modern exposed concrete inner shell, the WU construction of the basement floors, the suspended supporting structure of the archive area and a spiral staircase to be executed in in-situ concrete.
