Construction site excursion - new housing construction at Sachsenplatz in Dresden

On 02.12.2021, a group of 16 students and staff from the Institute of Construction Management visited the construction site for a new apartment building on Sachsenplatz between Kollwitz-Ufer and Florian-Geyer-Straße in Dresden. The building owner for the property with 120 flats, two commercial units and 122 underground parking spaces is the Flüwo housing cooperative from Stuttgart. The current shell construction work started in spring 2021 and is being carried out by Ed. Züblin AG, Direktion Ost, Bereich Sachsen as general contractor. The construction site tour was led by representatives of the company. The participants of the excursion were able to get an overview of the project at 3 stations in small groups. This included a detailed presentation of the project, a varied tour of the construction site as well as interesting opportunities to get to know the company. Hot drinks, a midday snack and the professional exchange in a pleasant atmosphere formed the successful conclusion of the 3-hour construction site tour.
