BBB Assistant Meeting 2023 at the University of Duisburg-Essen

32nd BBB Assistant Meeting in Essen

The BBB Assistant Meeting took place at the University of Duisburg-Essen from 4 to 6 October 2023. The annual congress of doctoral students and research assistants from the departments of Construction Management, Construction Industry and Construction Management from the DACH region serves to network and exchange ideas on current research topics.

In addition to highly interesting presentations on the current research work of the chairs from German-speaking countries, we were able to gain exciting insights into university, scientific, such as the development of a cable robot for the automated laying of masonry, as well as cultural topics. One of the highlights of the congress was the visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Zeche-Zollverein with an exciting guided tour through the former coal mine.

In addition, the proceedings of the 32nd BBB-Assistent:innentreffen have now been published with interesting publications by colleagues from the Institute of Construction Management, available digitally at
