Abstract:
In this work, possibly existing market entry barriers for the establishment of carbon concrete construction in the building industry are identified. The data basis for the identification of the barriers is the study "State of knowledge on the topic of carbon concrete in the construction industry", in which actors in the construction industry participated. As part of the evaluation of the empirical data collection, the survey results obtained were examined both in terms of frequency distributions and mathematical anomalies. The aim was to process the data with the aid of software-supported applications so that statistically significant correlations between differentiated groups of participants in the study could be uncovered by using the statistics programme IBM SPSS Statistics. Subsequently, it was possible to create a ranking based on the study-specific results, which assigns a practical significance to the identified barriers for the establishment of the carbon concrete construction method from the point of view of the study participants. In this regard, a critical examination of the data basis was also carried out, so that the significance of the ranking was brought into a context with the study carried out. Finally, approaches for overcoming the primarily identified barriers were developed, so that a sustainable establishment of the carbon concrete construction method in the building industry is promoted based on the findings of this work.
