Abstract:
This diploma thesis explains the causes and handling of disruptions in the construction process in a civil engineering company, more specifically in steel construction. By compiling the basics from the literature, an overview of the topic from causes to consequences of disruptions is compiled. A reduction of the consequences on the basis of legal bases of the VOB and the BGB is explained. The legal bases are compared with each other and the application and the prerequisites are explained. On the basis of an example disturbances are evaluated and the application of the theoretical and legal bases are represented. The possible claim bases are evaluated in relation to the disruption and also compared in the amount of the possible claim. Since productivity losses in the plant production of a steel construction company are difficult to trace, different methods are explained how these losses can be calculated. A guideline developed for the company under investigation supports the company's processes with instructions on how to successfully handle disruptions to the construction process in the future.
