Abstract:
In the context of this diploma thesis, the influences of the EU Taxonomy Regulation on the sustainability certification of buildings are analysed. In this context, it is important to understand the urgency around the topic of sustainability, because the topic influences almost all subject areas and economic sectors. The work therefore shows the background, problems and consequences, with a special focus on the building industry as the economic sector with the greatest potential for influence. The focus of the analysis is on a comparison of the Taxonomy Ordinance with the DGNB certification, as the most common certification organisation in Germany. Within the framework of the restrictions made to the new construction of buildings, around the subject area of sustainable building, the criteria catalogues in particular are closely examined. The problems or gaps in content identified show that there is a considerable need for optimisation proposals. The main focus here is on improving and expanding the still young Taxonomy Ordinance. But also planning principles and special requirements are given for a better and simpler implementation. In this way, a recommendation for action or a guideline for the implementation of the classification system of the EU taxonomy or certification in the building industry is to be created.
