Abstract:
In this work, a concept was developed for the direct exchange and sale of used building materials of civil engineering and demolition from construction company to construction company excluding an intermediary. Sector-specific principles were elaborated and logistical, technical and legal framework conditions were taken into account.  The implementation of this concept was intended to benefit both buyers and sellers and to contribute to the conservation of natural resources. Due to the strong relevance for the German construction industry, significant advantages of this concept could be demonstrated for all parties involved. Furthermore, the construction-related foundations were laid for the development of an app platform that is to establish the described concept in the everyday life of the construction industry. To this end, requirements were formulated and marketing and business models were identified.
