Abstract:
In this thesis, comparative investigations of different infrastructure projects are carried out to determine the cost structures of planning with the BIM methodology and compared with conventional planning. Furthermore, the influence of special BIM services on BIM fees is investigated and it is analysed which high-priced BIM use cases can be identified. For this purpose, the projects investigated are divided into three specialist areas (structural engineering, tunnel construction, traffic facilities).
The examination of the individual bids and comparisons between the projects and specialist areas projects and disciplines is an iterative process. Not all calculated values or determined results led to meaningful findings. Due to the different contract documents, the use of investigation parameters has been necessary to achieve meaningful results and thus to depict a tendency.
In summary, it can be stated that the investigated projects lead to mixed results. In the field of structural engineering, the use of the BIM methodology the use of the BIM methodology, the bid fees are evaluated more favourably due to the high the high arithmetical discounts granted, the bid fees are evaluated more favourably than comparable conventional planning. For the This ratio is reversed for the specialist area of tunnelling. Accordingly, the proportion of of more cost-effective conventional planning outweighs comparable planning with the BIM methodology. In contrast, there is a clear trend in the field of transport facilities, where all where all BIM projects are more expensive than comparable planning without BIM. An influence of the number of commissioned use cases on the cost structure of BIM projects could not be determined due to the high volatility of BIM services offered.
