Abstract:
This thesis is dedicated to the comprehensive analysis of the automation potential of construction methods in building construction. The focus is on the evaluation of eighteen different construction methods, taking into account economic, ecological and social aspects. The main objective is to identify the most to identify the most suitable construction methods for automation. In addition, an overview is given of market-ready automation systems that have been developed specifically for the construction methods analysed. Some of these systems are analysed in detail with regard to their practical suitability and economic efficiency. The The results of the study illustrate the potential of automation systems to outperform conventional construction methods in the aspects mentioned. The work emphasises the importance of a well-founded consideration of practical and economic factors when selecting automation systems for use on construction sites.
