Abstract:
This thesis analyses the influence of selected parameters of adaptive building structures on the economic efficiency of properties. For this purpose, a reference building was designed and, based on the criteria for building depth and clear storey height, the utilisation costs were determined in addition to the construction costs in order to be able to draw conclusions about the life cycle costs of the building and make general statements about economic efficiency. It turns out that adapting the clear storey height to adaptive requirements has only a minor impact on the life cycle costs, but offers added value for the degree of adaptivity. In contrast, a structural change to the building depth is associated with a high monetary outlay and in this respect offers no significant advantage for the adaptability of the property.
