Abstract:
The selection of a construction method usually has a major influence on the success of construction projects in terms of schedule and money. In the area of bridge construction
(spans up to approx. 18 m), the use of the construction methods reinforced concrete with falsework, precast prestressed concrete and precast construction with slack reinforcement will be investigated. The investigated construction methods are to be comparatively evaluated with regard to the consequences for costs and production times as well as other relevant comparison parameters on the basis of a concrete construction project. Under the given, constant conditions, this diploma thesis was able to prove that variant 3 (slackly reinforced precast elements) of the construction variant comparison, represents the most cost-efficient execution of the presented reference project. In addition, the different construction methods (variant 1 to variant 3) were compared in terms of their construction time, cost structure and bid amount. Here, both the highest corrected contribution margin and the longest construction time could be analyzed for variant 1. Variant 2 convinces with the shortest construction time, but also the highest bid amount. As already mentioned, variant 3 represents the most cost-efficient solution with the lowest contribution margin.
