Abstract:
This thesis analyses the planning, execution and legal framework conditions of external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) as a key measure for improving the energy efficiency of buildings. It examines the main components and materials, analyses applicable regulations and standards and compares the costs of alternative insulation methods. The work shows that ETICS offer long-term economic advantages despite higher acquisition costs, as they significantly reduce energy consumption. Ecological aspects and the sustainability of the systems are also analysed. Finally, practical recommendations for the planning and implementation of ETICS are formulated in order to ensure a high quality of execution and to maximise the efficiency and durability of the systems.
