Abstract:
This diploma thesis is dedicated to summarising the Building Energy Act (GEG). The main contents of the law are clearly presented, with a particular focus on the new features. The aim is to create a detailed guide that helps owners and property investors to understand the requirements of the GEG more clearly.
As part of this work, a user-friendly tool was therefore developed to help users better understand and efficiently implement the legal requirements. This tool uses an interactive multiple-choice questionnaire to analyse specific building situations and offer tailor-made solutions for compliance with the new standards.
The impact of the amendment to the GEG on the value retention and profitability of properties was also analysed. The analysis shows that energy-efficient refurbishments and the increased use of renewable energies not only lead to ecological benefits, but can also significantly increase the market value of properties. Although the implementation of the GEG requirements requires initial investments, these prove to be economically profitable in the long term and contribute to increasing the value of properties.
