dear guests of the 31st DBBS,

last week we opened the 31st Dresden Bridge Building Symposium and were able to follow a day of exciting lectures on all aspects of bridge building. We finally saw acquaintances again and also met new people, we got into conversation, company exhibitors were able to advise us on their current products and services and establish business contacts. Speakers introduced us to their exciting topics and allowed us to discuss them. Last but not least, the Dresden Campus offered us a home for our reunion in the usual tradition.

In the interplay of the things to be organized, the participating people and the ever-recurring challenge of preparing two pleasant days for us, we were able to enjoy a wonderful time with a view to the lasting impressions.

We, Manfred Curbach and Steffen Marx, would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to all the people involved; it was a great pleasure and honor for us. We are looking forward to seeing you again!
