DFG Priority Programme SPP 2388 Hundert Plus launched
Steffen Marx is the coordinator of the priority program SPP 2388 - Hundert plus - "Verlängerung der Lebensdauer komplexer Baustrukturen durch intelligente Digitalisierung". The overarching goal of the SPP "Hundert plus" (short: 100+) is a conceptual and fundamental reorientation of the current maintenance strategy of infrastructure structures. This priority programme was established by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in spring 2021. The call for proposals for the individual projects of SPP 2388 was published by the DFG on 18.06.2021. Proposals had to be submitted to the DFG by 29.10.2021. After a careful and professional review process, one coordination project and 19 subprojects were approved in summer 2022.
The kick-off meeting for the priority programme took place in Dresden from 13.09.2022 to 14.09.2022. Around 50 scientists from all 20 projects took part in the kick-off meeting.
On the first day, the meeting began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the program by Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Steffen Marx. The logo of the priority programme was published. Afterwards, the 19 sub-projects were individually introduced by the contributors of each project with short presentations. Prof. Steffen Marx successfully closed the first project day at 16:30. In the evening, a get-together event took place in the Otto Mohr Laboratory of the Institute of Concrete Structures. In a pleasant atmosphere, the guests were able to visit the experimental facility in our laboratory and exchange ideas.
At the beginning of the second day (14.09.2022), the validation structure, the Nibelungen Bridge in Worms, and the coordination project were presented. Subsequently, the individual projects could be grouped into 5 different clusters. The aim of the individual clusters is to enable a better exchange of all sub-projects in smaller groups. The 5 different clusters are listed below.
- Cluster A: Geometric-semantic models
- Cluster B: Damage detection
- Cluster C: Monitoring and simulation
- Cluster D: Concept for Digital Twin
- Cluster E: Data-driven methods
With the completion of the cluster formation, further specific topics such as equal opportunities, cooperation, utilisation of results and the transfer into practice were discussed. Afterwards, the two-day kick-off meeting ended at 15:00 with the farewell words of the project coordinator.
