Dresden Congress Award
Already in 1991, Professor Jürgen Stritzke started with a congress on bridge construction in Dresden. The now 29th Dresden Bridge Construction Symposium (DBBS) will take place in March next year.
Since its inception, the DBBS has always understood itself as a multiplier of good ideas, interesting innovations and promising technologies and has become the largest event of its kind in the German-speaking area and is an ideal meeting place for the exchange of experience in the planning, construction, repair and upgrading of bridges for all involved in construction and interested parties. This commitment to the large family of bridge builders and also to the congress location Dresden was awarded with the Dresden Congress Award in the category continuity on 15 November 2018.
The Dresden Congress Award - also known as the "Oscar of the Congress Industry" - honors dedicated scientists, entrepreneurs and congress organizers who brought congresses and conferences to Dresden and successfully organized them.
