Faculty of Civil Engineering sets course for the future - Prof. Beckmann elected as new Dean

At today's constituent meeting of the Faculty Board of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Dresden University of Technology, Professor Dr.-Ing. Birgit Beckmann from the Institute of Concrete Structures was elected as the new Dean. She is the first woman in the history of the faculty to hold this position. With her election, she takes up a three-year term of office and will represent and lead the faculty in the coming years. We would like to congratulate Professor Beckmann on her election and wish her every success and happiness in her new role as Dean! Richard Stroetmann as Vice-Dean, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Viktor Mechtcherine as Vice-Dean Research and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Otto as Dean of Studies were confirmed in office for a further three years.
At the same time, the previous Dean, Professor Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Stamm, was ceremoniously dismissed from office after three more years of dedicated work. During his time in office, Professor Stamm made a significant contribution to the further development of the faculty and laid the foundations for numerous forward-looking projects.
