Guest lecture Jakob Fischer, M.Sc. | BTU Cottbus
We are pleased to have won Jakob Fischer, M.Sc. for a guest lecture to present ReCreate.
On November 04, 2024, Jakob Fischer from the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg will be a guest at the Endowed Chair for Resource-Efficient Building Construction at the Institute of Concrete Structures.
He works as a Research Associate under the direction of Prof. Angelika Mettke in the field of reuse of precast reinforced concrete elements.
Compared to conventional concrete recycling, the reuse of components offers enormous ecological advantages, among other things by saving on new cement. Despite numerous realized projects and the great relevance, the reuse of reinforced concrete is still a niche topic. The current European Horizion2020 project "ReCreate: Reusing prefabricated concrete for a circular economy" aims to change this.
The event will be held as a hybrid event and visitors are welcome to attend at the address: August-Bebel-Str. 30/30A in 01219 Dresden, Floor 3, Room: Abs-03-007 on 04.11.2024 from 14:50 to 16:20 or via livestream. You can find the link here: https: //tud.link/hdu1px
