New experiments at the openLAB research bridge in Bautzen
Another extensive trial program starts in Bautzen at the end of September
Following the successful tests on the openLAB research bridge in May of this year (link in the first comment), the next damaging tests are now on the agenda. Preparations are already in full swing - this time we are concentrating on precast elements (FT) in span 1:
- 24.09.2025 - Opening of the coupling joint (FT 1.1)
- 25.09.2025 - damage to prestressing steel (FT 1.2)
- 26.09.2025 - Shear force (FT 1.3)
Thanks to upgrades in measurement and loading technology as well as expanded instrumentation in the relevant areas, we are (almost) ready for the extensive test program.
The loading frame also has a fresh new look. We are now looking forward to the results - updates to follow!
