SPP Cultural Heritage Construction: Call for Proposals for the 2nd Funding Period Launched

The current Priority Programme "Cultural Heritage Construction" will be funded by the DFG in a second phase from mid-2023. Project proposals can now be prepared and submitted for this.
"The focus of the priority programme is on the buildings of the High Modernism period (around 1880 to 1970), a still young heritage that comprehensively shapes the image of our cities and landscapes, but at the same time is highly endangered in its existence. Due to its peculiarities in structure, finishing and façades, in many respects it eludes classical approaches to monument preservation oriented towards art-historical canons. Often it is precisely the supporting structure or the manufacturing process that defines the monument value here - the construction thus becomes the actual cultural heritage."
