Examination periods in the summer semester 2024

Exam registration is only activated in a fixed period (see below). Please note that you must always actively register in Selma for repeat examinations.

• examinations during the course of study (e.g. presentations, supporting documents):
  for the summer semester from the 2nd Monday in April for 4 weeks
• oral examinations and written examinations during the core examination period:
  for the summer semester from the 3rd Monday in May for 4 weeks

Exam registration for oral examinations and written examinations in the summer semester 2024 is possible from 20.05.2024 - 17.06.2024. Please note that there are different periods for exam registrations at TUDIAS (language training).

• oral examinations and written examinations during the core examination period:
  for the winter semester from the 2nd Monday in December for 4 weeks

Exam registration in winter semester 24/25 for oral exams and written exams is possible from 09.12.2024 - 06.01.2025. Please note that there are different periods for exam registrations at TUDIAS (language training).

Deregistration from an examination

Cancellations (after registration) are possible online up to 14 working days before the start of an oral examination or 3 working days before a written examination. Independent cancellation of oral examinations in Selma is not possible if no examination date has been entered. In this case, please contact the Examination Office by email to cancel your registration.

The official counting method is used to determine the last possible deregistration date. The official counting method using the example of an exam on 14.02.2022:

• Day of the exam 14.02.2022 does not count
• 13.02. and 12.02. (Sunday and Saturday) are not working days
• 11th, 10th, 9th are the 3 working days
• therefore deregistration possible until 08.02. (exactly until 23:59)

The Examination Committee decided the following at its meeting on 09.07.2018:
The deregistration deadline for course-related examinations (e.g. presentations, supporting documents) is set at 8 weeks before the binding completion/submission of the examination. This regulation applies from winter semester 2018/2019.

After the end of the deregistration period, you can still withdraw from an examination for reasons for which you are not responsible. An example of this is withdrawal due to illness. To do this, please submit the original "Medical certificate" form and the "Notification of withdrawal from examinations due to illness" form.
