Notes on deregistration without consequences
-
On 12.06.2024, the Senate decided to standardize the deregistration periods for (pre-)examinations as follows:
-
The deregistration of examination performances at TU Dresden permitted by examination regulations is uniformly possible up to three working days before the examination date.
The implementation of the above resolution will take effect from the winter semester 2024/25 - Use the deregistration function in HISQIS and Selma.
- To cancel oral examinations without an examination date, an informal written request can be submitted to the Examination Office up to 3 working days before the examination date. The exact examination date must be confirmed by the examiner on the application.
- The following applies to semester-long portfolio examinations, project work, term papers and seminar papers: the end of registration is the same as the end of withdrawal.
- Calculation of deadlines for withdrawal: Section 193 BGB defines which days count as working days. If the deadline for withdrawal falls on a Saturday, the next working day takes the place of such a day. The deadline is three working days before (!) the examination date.
Notes on withdrawing from examinations in the event of illness
In case of illness: Please use the form "Withdrawal from examinations in case of illness" (mandatory!). Proof of inability to take the examination due to illness must be provided in the form of a medical certificate. It is recommended that you submit the form "Medical certificate of inability to take examinations" provided by TU Dresden. The original documents must be submitted to the Examination Office immediately (three working days) , preferably by post or via the mailbox at the Examination Office.
The relevant forms can be found under Forms/Applications.
