Often, parameters cannot be determined in the laboratory but must be recorded directly on site. The CFEA also offers a range of solutions for this.
Meteorological analysis is primarily carried out at complex measuring and experimental stations where long-term measurement series are collected under standardized conditions. You can find an overview of our measuring stations here (Meteorology). We are happy to answer specific questions about the data we collect. Some of these measuring stations are part of the European Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS).
Available analytical offers include:
- Green house gas analysis
- Soil and air temperature measurements
- Precipitation and humidity measurements
- radiation measurements
- wind measurements
Depending on the problem, measurements can either be carried out directly on site by CFEA employees or measuring equipment can be rented or borrowed after adequate training.
Among other things, the CFEA has an ADCP boat for recording flow velocity profiles (acoustic Doppler current profiler). The ADCP device is mounted on a boat hull (not self-propelled). The measurement data is sent directly via Bluetooth during the measurement.
Our portable analyzers include:
- Probe meters (e.g. for pH, electrical conductivity, turbidity, temperature, oxygen, SAK-254, ion-selective measurements)
- portable DOC analyzer (self-developed prototype)
- portable photometer
- ADCP boat
