Research interests:
My main interests are biodiversity and ecosystem functioning in temperate forests. In my PhD project, which is part of the DFG research unit BETA-FOR, I am focusing on how understory plant diversity and functioning respond to an increase in structural complexity.
More specifically, I am interested in:
- Biodiversity and Ecosystem functions
- Botany
- Forest ecology
- Forest understory and herbaceous layer
- Forest structural complexity
- Functional ecology and plant functional traits
- Effects of climate change on plant communities
Education:
2023 – present: PhD student at the Professorship of Biodiversity and Nature Conservation (TU Dresden) and Institute for Ecology (Leuphana University Lüneburg)
2020-2023: MSc. Global Change Ecology, University of Bayreuth
2016-2020: BSc. Environmental and Sustainability Studies, Leuphana University Lüneburg
