The focus areas of our research lie in issues pertaining to environmental policy sciences and forest economics research with broader economic relevance. In cooperation with state and non-governmental clients, we develop transdisciplinary approaches for the solution of conflicts of interest in relation to the exploitation and protection of natural resources.
The direction and the staff of the chair possess competence in the application of social-empirical methods, in the moderation and mediation of conflicts over resources and in providing science-based policy advice.
