Welcome to the website of our chair!

The Chair of Forest Policy and the Economics of Forest Resource was established in November 2005. It is the successor to two earlier chairs, namely the Chair of Forest Policy and the Chair of Forest Business Economics. The chair is directed by Prof. Dr. Norbert Weber. Today the chair comprises the fields forest policy and the economics of forest resources. We focus on challenging issues relating to the complex interactions between forests and people, employing social science and economic methods.
