Results of the survey on the standard study period at the Faculty of Forestry Sciences
Dear students of Forestry Sciences,
The student council recently conducted a survey on the standard study period for the Bachelor's and 3 Master's programs at the Faculty. We wanted to know if the standard study period is considered appropriate, too short, or too long, how many semesters are planned to complete the program, if it takes longer than the standard study period or if it is planned that way, and what factors contribute to this (e.g. Covid-19, extracurricular activities, elective courses).
The results show that the majority of students feel the standard study period is too short to fully understand and process the course material. Many of you have also mentioned that Covid-19 and extracurricular activities have prolonged the duration of your studies.
You can download the survey results here.
We will make an effort to take your concerns and feedback into consideration. We want to thank all participants of the survey and encourage everyone to continue to participate in surveys and feedback opportunities to further improve the studies at the Faculty of Forestry Sciences.
