How we protect forests

On 22.04.2024 at 17:50, ARTE broadcast the report "How we protect forests" from the series "Good news from the planet". This 40-minute documentary reports on projects in South America, the Sahel and on the island of Borneo, among others, which give hope for future-proof forests through renaturation and active forest management. Germany is represented with one report, which comes from Tharandt and was filmed in the summer of 2022.
Dr. Katja Skibbe and Prof. Sven Wagner are interviewed on the topics of tree species selection (silver fir, Douglas fir) or propagation (oak) under climate change conditions. The report can be downloaded at this link:
