International Wildlife Congress 2025 in Norwegen
The Chair of Forest Protection was represented at the INTERNATIONAL WILDLIFE CONGRESS 2025 in Lillehammer, Norway, which brought together the 37th International Union of Wildlife Biologists, the 18th Nordic Congress of Wildlife Research and the 16th Perdix Symposium in cooperation with EuroMammals, to exchange ideas at an international level and give a talk on drone-based wildlife impact assessment.
From September 1 to 4, 2025, more than 600 scientists from all continents met to present and discuss their work on the topic of wildlife research. In particular, the congress provided a platform and solutions for the challenging methodological and technical approaches to studying wildlife influences, habitats, behavior, interactions and much more. A tight lecture program with speed talks, poster sessions, workshops and plenary sessions ensured a lively exchange. We received a lot of methodological inspiration for our own work, as well as confirmation and the encouragement for extensive publications.
