M.Sc. thesis award to Grit Neubauer

At the 2023 annual meeting of the Association for Tree-Ring Research TRACE ('Tree Rings in Archaeology, Climatology and Ecology') in Coimbra, Portugal, the Master thesis of Grit Neubauer was awarded the best M.Sc. thesis award written in the field of tree-ring science in 2022. In her Master thesis entitled 'Rekonstruktion der Nutzungsgeschichte einer Waldfläche an der Sauschwemme bei Johanngeorgenstadt (Erzgebirgskreis) anhand der Untersuchung von Holzkohle aus historischen Meilern' Grit studied charcoal from relict charcoal hearths in the Ore Mountains to reconstruct forest history.
