The Chair
The chair of engineering geodesy is part of the geodetic institute next to the chair of geodesy (fundamental) and the chair of landmanagement. The topics are measurement, surveying and monitoring of civil engineering structures. Courses are provided for bachelor of geodesy and geoinformatics, for master of geodesy and other faculties.

History
The geodetic institute in Dresden was found in january 1991. Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Hans Werner was the head of the chair and the first director of the institute. His follower is Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Michael Möser in the year 1996. Before Prof. Möser has operated at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences.
