Cartography Graduation Ceremony

On 15 December 2023, 19 graduates of the international master course in Cartography celebrated their graduation at TU Dresden. These students began their studies at TU Munich in the winter semester of 2021, spent further semesters at TU Vienna, TU Dresden and the University of Twente, and defended their master theses in recent months. 12 students attended the graduation ceremony on site, 6 joined via video conference. Also the professors and local coordinators from the four partner universities participated and contributed to the program of the graduation ceremony. And there were also some guests, for example a father who had travelled all the way from Venezuela. The planned handover of the official master certificates, signed by the rectors of all four universities, was unfortunately not possible as these documents got lost in the DHL Christmas chaos. However, this did not stop the students from enjoying their graduation ceremony and bringing the day to a cheerful close at the Christmas market and with a joint dinner.
