Welcome 13th intake!

28 students from 17 different countries - this is our 13th international cartography master intake, selected from 250 applications!

The Welcoming Week 2023 took place between 9th and 13th October at the main TUM campus in Munich. The programme included a mix of orienteering and cartographic sessions with programme partners, lecturers, and alumni. For the first time, all students were on site, as all visa procedures and travel arrangements were completed in time.

Our newcomers participated in a library tour, a campus tour and went together on a hike. All programme partners introduced their universities, their role within the programme and the highlights of every semester. Four keynotes lectures were given on the cutting-edge topics by the professors of the four partner universities. Students also had the opportunity to ask the professors and coordinators all of their questions in designated Q&A sessions, and interesting discussions ensued.

We wish all cartography freshmen and -woman a good start into their studies and a great upcoming time.
