Research
The Junior Professorship in Geosensor Systems conducts research into innovative methods for the high-resolution detection, analysis and modelling of environmental processes. The focus is on AI-supported geosensor systems, automated photogrammetry and multi-scale remote sensing approaches that enable data-driven environmental monitoring across space and time. Our research combines modern methods of artificial intelligence with geoscientific questions and develops solutions to current challenges in the fields of water monitoring, climate resilience, sustainable mobility, forest development and urban environmental observation. The aim is to transform complex geodata into meaningful information for science, administration and practice.
