Scientists present at TU Dresden's Social Media
Climate change is impacting Antarctica. This is particularly evident by the amount of ice covering the continent Antarctica. Geodesists at TU Dresden are also investigating these changes. They use GPS measurements and data from the GRACE and GRACE-FO satellite missions. Maria Kappelsberger from the Chair of Geodetic Earth System Research has already been to the #Antarctica with the research vessel Polarstern from @AWIresearch and carried out on-site measurements. Together with her colleague Dr. Matthias Willen, she explains how the changes in ice mass can be measured and where the loss is largest. Please note that the video is in German only.
