New Antarctic gravity anomaly grid released!
Gridded datasets of free-air anomaly and Bouguer anomaly are available at: https://doi.org/10.1594/PANGAEA.848168 .
The release of the datasets is accompanied by a publication by Scheinert et al., Geophysical Research Letters (2016), https://doi.org/10.1002/2015GL067439 .
Release and publication of these datasets were enabled by a longterm international cooperation in the frame of IAG Subcommission 2.4f "Gravity and Geoid in Antarctica" (AntGG) and SCAR Expert Group on "Geodetic Infrastructure in Antarctica" (GIANT), project "Gravity Field", both chaired by M. Scheinert.

"Antarctica Gets a New Gravity Map"
The scientific paper "New Antarctic gravity anomaly grid for enhanced geodetic and geophysical studies in Antarctica" (Scheinert et al., Geophysical Research Letters, 2016) was highlighted as Research Spotlight in the AGU magazine "EOS - Earth & Space Science News". Under the title "Antarctica Gets a New Gravity Map" it focusses on the main statements of the paper.
