Structure of the department
The Department of Geosciences has two interdisciplinary professorships as well as five institutes with 13 professorships and currently about 100 employees:
- Professorship for Geoinformatics
- Junior Professorship for Didactics of Geography and Environmental Communication
- Geodetic Institute - Institute of Cartography
- Institute for Planetary Geodesy
- Institute of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing
- Institute of Geography
The following sub-disciplines are combined here: geodesy, geoinformation technologies and cartography as engineering sciences, and geography as a natural science and humanities discipline.
