Notes on the entrances to the CHE
The barrier-free main entrance of the chemistry building CHE is currently under construction. Therefore, we have drawn paths for you to find the side entrances. Depending on the event, there are different ways, so please check which event you want to go to.
Paths to the events "Get-to-know-evening", "Registration Course", "Breakfast with the Mentors", "City Rally"
The routes are always marked from the main entrance.
As a non-barrier-free side entrance, you can take the entrance from Bergstraße. Enter there and you are directly in front of a staircase, which you go up and immediately turn left into the corridor to the rooms CHE/184 and CHE/183.
(red path on picture)
As a low barrier side entrance you can take the entrance through the backyard. Unfortunately, there are no door openers/buttons, so you may not be able to open the door on your own. At the doors you will find our phone numbers, which you can call so that we can open the door for you. Then you can choose from two elevators to go to the second floor. Depending on which one you take, rooms CHE/184 and CHE/183 will be straight ahead or to the left down a long corridor and then to the right.
(blue path on picture)
Paths to the event "Barbecue"
The routes are always marked from the main entrance.
As a non-barrier-free side entrance, you can take the entrance from Bergstraße. There you enter and stand directly in front of a staircase, which you go down and then right into the main foyer of the CHE and from there into the courtyard.
(red path on picture)
As a low barrier side entrance you can take the entrance through the backyard right into the inner courtyard of the CHE.
(blue path on picture)
Paths to the events "Matriculation Ceremony of the Department", "Campus Tour"
The routes are always marked from the main entrance.
As a non-barrier-free side entrance, you can take the entrance from Bergstraße. There you enter and stand directly in front of a staircase, which you go down and immediately have the lecture hall CHE/089 on the left or stop in front of its entrance door (foyer).
(red path on picture)
As a low barrier side entrance you can take the entrance via the backyard. Unfortunately, there are no door openers/buttons there, so you may not be able to open the door on your own. At the doors you will find our phone numbers, which you can call so that we can open the door for you.
To CHE/089: There are two ways, depending on whether you want to be at the top and back of the lecture hall (1) or at the bottom and front (2).
(1) Stay on the first floor and walk straight down the long corridor, after you come through a door keep slightly to the right and you will find the entrance to CHE/089.
(2) Here you can again choose from two elevators to go to the basement. Depending on which one you take, you will find the entrance to CHE/089...(information to follow, still to be checked).
To foyer in front of CHE/089: This is on the first floor, so just walk straight down the hall and you will get to the foyer.

Paths to the events "Excursion", "Pub Crawl"
Since there is little space in front of the main entrance of the CHE due to the construction work, we will meet on the area under the chestnut tree between the bridge in front of the CHE and HSZ, see picture.
