On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the successful defense of the dissertation by M.Eng. Matthias Exner took place at the Institute of Waste Management and Circular Economy at the TUD campus in Pirna-Copitz on the topic
"Theory of a Holistic Mathematical-Ecological LCA System Description of Circular Economy Models: Investigation of System Behavior Using Sensitivity Analysis and Differential Comparative Analysis with Linear Economy Models"
, marking the successful completion of his doctoral studies at our Institute by yet another external doctoral student who is already employed by a company.
