Project description:
The sub-project NUKLEUS-NUS of the TU Dresden (TUD) focuses on the definition of use-specific interfaces between regional climate models and local atmospheric and impact models in order to provide consistent and connectable climate information according to the needs in the model regions. In accordance with the prioritization of sectors and application purposes in the regions, TUD will carry out targeted model simulations. Sensitivity studies with selected microscale models should quantify the effects of initial and boundary data from the regional climate models with different spatial-temporal references. The resulting ranges of uncertainty for the model outputs, together with the specifications from the model regions, result in a catalog for the processes, target values and resolutions that have to be taken into account in regional climate modeling and in its evaluation.
