Gastwissenschaftlerin Die von Prof. Jirka Simunek geleitete Forschungsgruppe befasst sich hauptsächlich mit der Bewertung der Wasserströmung und des Transports gelöster Stoffe in ungesättigten Böden unter Verwendung numerischer Modelle, insbesondere des HYDRUS-Softwarepakets. Der Schwerpunkt des Aufenthalts bestand darin, mehr über die Modellierung der ungesättigten Zonen zu erfahren und den HYDRUS-Code so zu modifizieren, dass er besser für die Simulation der Prozesse geeignet ist, die während der Labortankversuche ablaufen. Es wurde eine neue Option in HYDRUS 1D und 2D implementiert, die es ermöglicht, die hydraulische Leitfähigkeit über die Zeit mit Hilfe einer Exponentialfunktion zu verringern. |

FORSCHUNGSAKTIVITÄTEN
Im Allgemeinen beschäftige ich mit allen Aspekten der Planung, des Managements und der Optimierung von Anlagen zur künstlichen Grundwasseranreicherung (MAR). Besonderer Fokus liegt dabei auf der Anwendung und Entwicklung von numerischen Modellen sowie web-basierter Tools um verschiedene Prozesse, die bei der künstlichen Grundwasseranreicherung auftreten, besser beurteilen zu können.
